Engineering Band Structure of SnO2 Nanoparticles via Coupling with g-C3N4 Nanosheet for the Detection of Ethanolamine

Volatile organoamines are important industrial raw materials and chemicals. Long-term exposure to amines could be harmful human health even cause serious pollution. In this study, SnO2 decorated g-C3N4 material was fabricated used as a sensor for the detection of ethanolamine (EA). The structures, morphology, surface chemical states, band structure were characterized, gas sensing studied. results showed that nanoparticles dispersed on g-C3N4, dependent doping. Notably, interface heterojunction conducive electron transferring O2 molecule adsorption; formed reactive oxygen species enhanced reaction between EA, thus leading high sensitivity EA. This composite exhibited response 2.6 times higher than pure SnO2, limit reached 294 ppb. A g-C3N4/SnO2-based displayed selectivity EA with fast time (1 s) recovery (20 at low operating temperatures. particular, linear relationship concentration, which is required quantitative analysis.
